specifications for, order, and install staff processing stations and document

of Prospero software to receive Ariel ® documents. Create a database-oriented
user management system. Create customized data collection system

libraries to assess current technical environment

libraries to measure current document turnaround

libraries to assess existing patron attitudes and expectations

libraries to create generic materials to support the marketing of the
service at the project libraries.

various statistical logs to track usage and problems.

a project Web site and email discussion list to communicate with library

orientations with all 6 Phase One libraries

documents to 2-3 Phase One sites
Phase One: Implementation (Jan 2003 to March 2003)
- Roll out
service to all 6 Phase One sites
- Collect
and analyze production data
Phase Two: Planning (March 2003 to June 2003)
- Identify
and make modifications to model based on the experiences of Phase One
- Conduct
orientations with all 11 Phase Two libraries
- Work with
libraries to assess patron attitudes and expectations
- Work with
libraries to begin marketing efforts
- Run test
documents to 2-3 Phase Two sites
Phase Two: Implementation (June 2003- September 2003)

service to all 17 sites
